Mary Long
Founder and C.E.G. (Chief Executive Goddess) Mary Long is a writer and radio talk show host, living in her hometown of Chicago. “I believe with all my heart that this world will heal when women remember who they really are, and choose to love and support each other in our endeavors. We need to remember that our worth lies within us; not in our age, weight or breast size. It’s time we stopped competing and started uniting our spirits together, so we may form a circle of support that is unbreakable. My goal is to help us all remember the amazing feats we’re capable of when we believe in ourselves and follow our hearts. That is the power this world has been waiting for…the power created by women united for a common cause.” |

Lisa Cisneros
Lisa Cisneros is thrilled to be contributing to HerstoryNetwork.com. Always a champion supporter of women, she feels that Herstory Network is a much needed and welcome resource for women of all ages and races and a place where women (and men!) can learn about all of the strides women and girls of yesterday and today are making and have made to change our world for the better. Lisa graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in journalism and is currently the Local Editor of Des Plaines Patch (desplaines.patch.com), a local community news source. She’s enjoyed writing and hearing and telling other people’s stories for just about as long as she can remember. She lives with her boyfriend in the Northwest Suburbs and has no children (maybe someday). Other than that, she makes great Margarita’s, she’s fun at parties and people seem to like her (if she does say so herself). |
