Women No Longer Care if you like us

We have been well-trained to be nice girls who follow the rules and are never too loud, too pushy or too demanding.

We have been well-trained to judge each other and leave our sisterhood by the wayside in order to seek the approval of the males surrounding us.

We have been well-trained to question ourselves and our choices after we’ve been assaulted. Blaming ourselves because males have an inherent need for sex that they can’t control is a programmed belief. It is not natural. 

We have been well-trained to follow the rules of our patriarchal religions that tell us to submit, obey, not ask too many questions and to trust the males in charge of those institutions implicitly.

We have been well-trained to seek approval of the males in our life above all else, including our own sense of self-worth; that their approval is the greatest prize of all.

We have been well-trained to believe that there’s a male god in the sky who created this world for men to rule over and for women to serve them.

We have been well-trained to dismiss the heart, soul, energy and intelligence we put into this world as being a lesser contribution than that of the males who are nearly the sole contributors to the assaults, wars and threats that are so pervasive in society.

We have been well-trained to never color outside the lines or demand too much. Nobody likes a woman who makes waves.

All of this performing for approval has come at a great cost we’re no longer willing to pay.

Women are now remembering who we really are and standing up for ourselves, each other and the children of this world.

Women no longer care if you like us.
